- Spend two weeks in Lisbon (side trip to Sintra)
- Spend last night in a hotel near the airport; Fly Lisbon to Buffalo
- OR: Fly home from Porto. Avoids a travel day and a hotel night in Lisbon.

- There is a high speed train in Portugal. It connects Braga, Porto, Coimbra, Lisbon, and Faro

- In addition to being the southern terminus of the high speed train line, Faro has an international airport.
- So we should consider travelling into Faro from Lisbon, and from Faro to Porto.
