We have no information about ancestors on the Solow line before Joseph's parents, (Shmuel) Hirsch Solowietek and Rachel Katz.
We do have quite a few entries on the Katz family tree, including her parents Sender 1820-1923 and Rayna born 1816. And we know that Sender's father's (Paula's third great grandfather) was named Itzhak.
Rachel Katz had four siblings, including Abram 1845-1923. He emigrated to the US in 1886 or 1888 and settled in the Bronx. Abram had nine children, including two who lived into the 1970's.
